Brenda Hage

Dr. Brenda Hage, PhD, DNP, AGPCNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, FNP, CDP, is an accomplished nurse executive, gerontologist, and advanced practice clinician with three decades of experience spanning nursing education leadership, curriculum design, and clinical practice. She currently serves as the Director of the School of Nursing, Professor, and Southwest Florida Endowed Chair at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). Dr. Hage's extensive career in academic administration includes her previous tenure at Misericordia University, where she served as Assistant Dean of the College of Health Sciences and Education, Chief Nurse Administrator, and the Founding Director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs. Nationally board-certified across multiple specialties—including Family (FNP), Adult-Gerontological Primary Care (AGPCNP), Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP), Nursing Informatics, and Case Management—she has spent more than 16 years providing direct clinical care to adult and geriatric rehab populations. Her systemic impact on healthcare extends to multi-decade advisory roles, including serving on the Bioethics Board for Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center and holding an 18-year seat on the National Advisory Board for the Spyglass Consulting Group, where she advises on clinical technology and digital health trends.
