Dr. Michael E. Brown, MD, MS, MHCM, is a veteran physician executive, clinical informaticist, and ICF-certified executive coach who brings over 20 years of experience to the intersection of health system administration, technology deployment, and strategic governance. He spent more than 16 years as the Chief Information Officer and inaugural Chief Information Security Officer for Harvard University Health Services, where he successfully spearheaded the enterprise roll-out of clinical information systems, drove down annual IT budgets by 25%, and personally led the development of a custom ambulatory EMR that was later commercialized across 300 university health centers.
