
Dr. William Scott Erdley, PhD, RN, CHSE, ACUE, is an expert in nursing informatics, healthcare simulation, and nursing education who serves as the Simulation Center Coordinator and a Faculty Fellow at Niagara University's Department of Nursing. Previously a long-standing faculty researcher at the University at Buffalo School of Nursing, Dr. Erdley has spent decades investigating the intersection of clinical practice and educational technology. His published work focuses heavily on the evolution of healthcare informatics, 3D virtual learning environments, educational gaming, and clinical workflow safety frameworks. Holding credentials as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and from the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE), he specializes in designing high-fidelity simulation curricula and leveraging interactive digital tools to enhance clinical competency and nursing workforce development.
