Minal Shah

Dr. Minal Shah (MD) is a practicing hospitalist, physician informaticist, and health technology leader serving as System Medical Informaticist at CommonSpirit Health and a member of Epic’s national Telehealth Advisory Board. Positioning herself as a "techno-pragmatist," she specializes in clinical workflow design, safe AI integration, and virtual care adoption aimed at reducing clinician cognitive burden while protecting the patient-physician relationship. Her leadership background includes serving as Medical Director of Virtual Care and Lead Hospitalist at CommonSpirit’s tech-enabled Hospital of the Future, backed by years of frontline clinical care and chief residency training at Baylor College of Medicine. Active across the digital health ecosystem, Dr. Shah also serves as an external clinical reviewer for the Utah Office of Artificial Intelligence Policy's AI Sandbox Program and mentors emerging healthcare innovators through the MD+ Catalyst Fellowship.
